About

I have been a psychologist in Calgary for 17 years and my passion is to help you find your own power, in your own time, at your own pace. I practice trauma-informed care and believe in evidence-based as well as alternative therapies. I aim to help you develop practical skills, coping strategies, and self-compassion and use Cognitive behavior therapy, Solution-Focused, Brief therapy, Mindfulness, and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART).

 

I have experience working with individuals and couples dealing with issues such as anxiety, anger, stress, mood disorders, and complex mental health issues such addictions, or contributing factors such as separation and divorce.

I live in Calgary and I offer online or virtual sessions and counsel clients across Alberta via video or phone.

From early on, people learn behaviors to protect themselves for survival —
but what worked in the past may no longer be helpful today. 

When basic human needs aren’t met, the outcome is often depression, anxiety, relationship conflict, or even addiction. This signals that underlying emotions have not been processed making needs more difficult to understand. When we ask what keeps us from high self-esteem, self-care, and harmonious relationships, we find painful—even traumatic—childhood memories and unfulfilled desires for acknowledgment, safety, and acceptance. Addressing our painful past helps us feel more secure 

 

All humans have the power to tackle the difficulties in life, create the change they wish to see, and free themselves from their limiting beliefs, from old stories of who they are and how they "should" be, from past trauma that interferes with healing, and from false fears that create invisible traps and roadblocks

 

Change is uncomfortable. Personal healing is difficult and sometimes requires a different kind of conversation, but you don’t have to struggle alone. You can embark on a journey of self-discovery, healing, and personal growth in a safe and confidential space and find your higher potential.
